Homekit Single Switch OFF timer

engsafadi75

Question

Hi

After good understanding how to do OFF timer for Z-Wave Fibaro relay, I switched to try the Homekit version of the relay.

Is there a way so I can set a timer for a relay to be turned off after a specified number of minutes. Plus can make a motion reset the timer if there is motion?

Thanks

Your questions should be asked in the HomeKit section. But no, you cannot program HomeKit to handle relays or motion sensors like that. That would require a dedicated controller. If you still have a Homecenter2 and is prepared to buy a Raspberry Pi, there are free programs that you can use to do what you want. The Raspberry Pi can through a program called homebridge and an add-on for Fibaro act as a link between Apple Homekit and the Homecenter. Works like a charm and gives you all Fibaro's programming possibilities and Apple Siri!

There is a discussion on "how to" on this forum.
