HC2 crashes out the blue

Question

Posted

My system seems to randomly crash out the blue. All working and then I have 4 lights appear on the box .

most recently when I see the system crash I only have 3 lights on solid but no PIRs working  or lighting scenes.

I have also now lost key lighting scene scene functionality via push buttons in rooms

can anyone help me diagnose the issue?

I get all these messages when I log on

Have seen this [Load error] only when power outage happens...??

Long shut , but could be that you have short power-breakdowns (like spikes?) ?

Thanks for the reply. I don’t believe it’s only after a power outage. The house is new and has been totally rewired so I’m not sure what this could be?

I agree with @cag014 sounds like a short power voltage fluctuation

    Clear messages and reboot

rewired? It could be the answer... please check if you don't have somewhere shaky connection. Like breakers and wall sockets wiring. Screws aren't tighten enough.

Thanks for this feedback is there a way you can suggest checking? Would it just be the plug relating to the unit or all

of them? Is there a way to tighten the search as I have 125 sockets

from my experience most of the wiring problems comes from breakers. Unfortunately there is no an easy solution, just go breaker by breaker  and slightly  pull the wires .

If you have devices failing on separate circuits it's most likely a faulty mains connection. Not something you want to pull to test. Have your spark come back and check his work ASAP!

If you want an easy way to check loose wiring on fuses or sockets/ switches, check if they're overly warm.

You can also plugg in a standard lamp into various  sockets and see if the light is flickering.

    Hope it helps ?
