Can I downgrade to a earlier version? I do have a backup of an earlier version and now I cannot restore my configuration

Yes, you can. The backup does include a complete OS as far as I understand. Have no experience although.

As I recall, you can downgrade to the two last firmware versions - if you have a full backup. Earlier versions can only be installed with help from Fibaro - and you will lose your programming. The reason is that Fibaro changed a lot in the Firmware a couple of versions ago.

If you are on 4.540 you can certainly go back to 4.520, done so myself, also from 4.530. Both these two new releases for me have been unreliable, system freezing or no gui access.  Ive been running same config for years and im just going to stay with 4.520 as it works fine and is reliable.

Im going to start at looking to replace towards the end of the year to something a bit more mainstream, dont know what yet.
