json.decode escape characters error

Question

Posted

Hi,

I want to make the virtual device's button that triggers the code that install another VDs in the system. I have a problem with decoding the JSON with VDs data, especially what's inside a main loop.

Please login or register to see this code.

This is a raw JSON that comes from exporting the VD to vfib file (packed inside an array).

When I try to decode it with json.decode(virtualDevicesJson) I get the error message:

[ERROR] 19:25:52: line 145: Expected comma or object end but found invalid token at character 139

This is where the escape characters are. Is anyone had this problem and found a way how to avoid the errors?

    I've found a workaround.

    First I wanted to use api.post() method to create a VD. It forces me to decode JSON first.

    Then instead of api.post() I useNet.Fhttp().

    Please login or register to see this code.

    Hope somebody find it useful.
