Delayed morning scene

Question

Posted

Hi There!
I need a lua scene for starting my 'morning scene' 5 minutes after motion detected in the living room after midnight. I would like to avoid to start a scene if one of my family member goes for a pee or a night snack, so if the motion sensor detects motion only for 3 minutes I do not want the scene to start. Anyone who could help? thanks in advance

Maybe something like that:

--[[
%% properties
7 value

-- 7 - id motion sensor using for motion detection
%% events
%% globals
--]]

local motion_detected = tonumber(fibaro:getValue(7, "value"))

local a = 1

-- just for checking if it works, a=1 when motion detected

if (motion_detected == 1) then

      delay = 300000
    -- 1 sec = 1000  * 5 minutes

    if (motion_detected == 1) then

    -- main scene code

    a = 2
    -- just for checking if it works, a = 2 when motion detectet also after delay time

    end
end

fibaro:debug('Motion detected: '..a)

-- just for checking if it works

I'm just starting to learn LUA so I bet it can be done in a better way
