Good afternoon, I have create a Virtual Device with name "A B C" and now I want to get ID with the LUA command  fibaro:getDevicesId.

The syntax that I use is:

Please login or register to see this code.

If I change virtual device name in "ABC" (no space between) it's work fine:

Please login or register to see this code.

But my problem is that I don't want rename my virtual device.

Thanks in advance

Well, they forget to url encode the arg so they will try api.get("/devices/?type=virtual_device&name=A B C") which doesn't work.

Try instead

Hi jgab, after several tests I found the solution to the problem. Fibaro being web based application the space character corresponds to %20 so it was sufficient to replace the spaces with the character % 20.

    I enclose an example:

Thank you for your solution. Have a nice day!

Yes, that works well. You may want the hard-coded name in the code to be the original name for readability. Then there is a function, urlencode(str), that changes the spaces to %20
