Two time of day and light level memory

Hello,

 

I'm a new user of Fibaro devices. I have a dimmer and motion sensor in the kitchen. Today in night i went to the kitchen and the light hurt my eyes.

So i created a variable day_night to choose the light level dependently, dim1_day and dim1_night values.

Now I would like to change dim1_day and dim2_night values each time i set dimmer value by button or by HC.

But dimmer don't have a trigger "value changed" and the variable don't have possibility to get value from dimmer.

 

I want to have two time of day and light level memory. Is graphic block able to handle that basic behavior?

I did it above. I even made a screenshots for you. Can I make light level memory - set variables when I set dimmer level - or not?

See my screenshot. For day time you can use this also but change the variable value to day and dim value at 100 (or something else)

In the advanced settings of the dimmer you can set a value that always need to be used when the light turns on, but you cannot add that it needs to have a different value at day and night.

 

 

But what you want is that when you turn on the light at night it goes to dim level 50%

The problem is that if the variable changes to night the light will automatically turn on at 50%. You want that on the background the dim level is already is set to 50% for IF the light will be turned on. Not possible with block scenes I guess.

What I just think is, with block scenes, if you use sceneactivation on the dimmer module. I don’t know if it works but you can give it a try.

 

Create a scene:

add dimmer and use sceneactivation (you need to google what number is for a single click that you need to add in the green field)

and variable is night

then

dimmer 2 is value 5

the trigger is only the sceneactivation of the dimmer

 

for day time an new scene

add dimmer and use sceneactivation (you need to google what number is for a single click that you need to add in the green field)

and variable is day

then

dimmer 2 is value 100

the trigger is only the sceneactivation of the dimmer

Why not making a variable day and night or light and dark.

 

Change the variable in an other scene based of time of sunset and sunrise.

 

The day scene will be:

if motion is detected and variable is day/light than set dim level at 100%

 

The night scene will be:

if motion is detected and variable is night/dark than set dim level at 50%

 

I think this is easier to do with block scenes
