Calculate Gate Open status?

Question

Posted

hi all,

I just implanted the smart implant to my gate opener (Nice Mindy 824), and everything is working as it should.

My Problem is, that the system does not know the actual status of the gate being open/half open (I have an Fibaro door contact already installed to get the "closed" status) Thus I thought it might be possible to calculate the actual status:

Idea;

Gate is closed -> Variable is set to "closed"

"open" is triggered: Counter starts, e.g. 30 sec to complete open. BUT if the open Butten is pushed again within this 30 seconds the door will be stopped, and if the button is pushed another time the door will be closed.

If the counter reaches 30 secs than a variable will be set to "open"

My problem that I do not know how to setup this nested condition, I was hoping that someone more skilled could help?

Cheers

Hi @Joystick,

I also had 2 Nice gate openers. I replaced the complete gate control by 2 Fibaro Roller/Shutters.

In the settings use 'Positioning actif' and then I see the actual position of the gate.

But the original remotes don't work anymore; the gate can only be controlled by Fibaro.

And hey, extra 'Nice' remotes are expensive, so you save some money too ;)

    Hi @TRicky

yeah I thought about that, too but my gate Motors run on 24V which is Not possible with FIBARO modules, or is it?

Also, how did you manage the photo cell sensors for safety?

Oh, and how do you setup two gates that need to be opened/closed in correct order?

    cheers
