How to install Danalock V3 templates

Hi,

 

I have put my Danalock V3 into my Z-Wave network using HC2 as controller. I can see the lock with a nice icon and it seems to be installed correctly. But there is no status change when the lock is locked.  And HC2 gives a notification regarding missing templates. I downloaded  the Danalock template as a zip file, but now I'm missing some information on how to install this template. Is there any help available?

from where did you download the Danlock template? 

Also, what software version of HC2 do you have?

Danalock and Gerdalock its seems be the same. With Gerdalock also no templates, but all work ok

I think you load the xml-file to send it to fibaro to create a template. 

 

There is no template existing.

@Stephjan, please note that devices without templates should still be working correctly when it comes to their basic functions.

You may want to check its parameters in advanced configuration.

I took the template file from HC2->Configuration->Diagnostics->Devices without Templates.

There is a download link <local-ip/api/devices/125/template>

 

HC2 is 4.540

 

I will try some diagnostics in advanced configuration of the Danalock device.

Do you have some suggestions?

 

And how can I install the template? - Would be crazy to have an option to download the file but no option to install it...?

I have just viewed a YT video. I may have done Z-Wave integration without security enabled... Seems  to be the reason why no action is visible in HC2 from my Danalock.

A strange situation which I would call a bug...

Tomorrow I will be able to trouble-shoot the situation.

You can not install the template by yourself, however you can change parameters for devices without template. If you are intrested how to do it follow this link:

Templates ensure visual support for maintaining every function of the Z-Wave device in Home Center, like parameters. Template of advanced parameters for Z-Wave devices allows for their easy change, but it is possible even without it.

 

The devices without template may work properly, however we recommend to generate template data and send it to [email protected] with request to add it..
It will allow us to prepare the appropriate Z-Wave device templates. We are constantly working on adding templates to our system, but because of large number of such devices it can take some time.

A lot of forum members have send templates of several devices to Fibaro over the years so they can be added. But it looks like Fibaro ignores them. Because years later the templates are still not added to the HC.

 

So you administrators can keep asking forum members to send them over but if Fibaro doesn’t add the templates what is the point of forwarding?

Yeah.. The Qubino DC shutter module has a missing template. It have had this missing for many years. There has been a lot of post etc asking for this to be added but Fibaro don't care. So I wouldn't care about sending them the template, they are not going to add it anyways. The best way is to find the parameters and add them yourself as

 is saying. That is the only way you can get this fixed. Also, can you use the block scenes on the Danalock V3 now? You could not do that the last time I tried, so you can not control the doorlock by scenes.
