Fibaro Single Switch, Home Kit and Alexa

Recommended Posts

I have two Home Kit enabled Single Switches. They have connected to Home Kit without any problems and I can control them through the Home Kit app as well as through the Fibaro for Home Kit app.

But how to I connect the Switches also to Alexa and / or Google? I can‘t figure out how to do it. Is it even possible?

The 'Fibaro HomeKit Single Switch' is pure/native HomeKit devices. It does not work with Alexa or Google Home Assistant directly by itself. You may need some form of bridging hub (e.g. Home Bridge) which can bridge HomeKit to Alexa and/or Google Home.

Philips Hue product line is different. Those are actually ZigBee devices and the Philips Hue Hub is actually the bridging hub that bridge between ZigBee to HomeKit.
