HCL No LUA :-( need to update VD label????

Hi Fibarians

 

I've gotten so buried in LUA recently that this seemingly simple problem has me stumped in block scenes and VD on a customers HCL.

 

I have scenes for a sensor to turn a light on an off but also want manual control of this light.

To achieve this, the scenes will only run if the Predefined variable is set to "on" .

In my VD I have two buttons Off/On

These buttons update the VD by string to match

I then have an on scene and an off scene like below but when I use the VD, even though the Variable does update, my label doesnt. When I run the scenes manually the label updates. What do I have wrong in my trigger? There's no main loop to check every second. The variable state change doesn't seem to trigger it.

 

(P.S. Time "anytime" added to try and remove the reliance on variable state change)

If variable are updated  via API they not trigger scene. In PUT data you need add  parameter invokeScenes. Like in ex. '{"name":"variable_name","value":"variable_data","invokeScenes":"true"}'
