Philips Hue - id

Question

Posted
Hi
I am setting up my first lua scene where I want to be able to switch my Philips Hue devices on and off.
Since I have not been able to find an instruction on the web, I hope that there is someone in the forum who can tell how to find the necessary ID address?

Hi @severin,

i don't know what you mean exactly by HUE id... If you mean the lamp id, you can find this in the HUE app under settings -> about.

You can also have a look @

which is a complete solution for HUE, so you can build just very simple scenes pushing the appropriate buttons or setting sliders according to your conditions and wishes.

In that package above you'll find complete manual for installation, including the guide to find all necessary HUE info.

Enjoy coding!

    Hi Bodyart

    Thanks for your reply
I have to enter the ID of the individual bulbs in the Lua scene.
In the Philips app there is only info about model number and version number.

Unfortunately, there is no ID info under the individual bulbs?

    Hi
I installed a new Fibaro device and noted the new ID number. I then uninstalled and reinstalled Philips Hue when I guessed that if Hue units were reinstalled they would get ID numbers after the last installed new Fibaro unit. I guessed right now the scene works (Id 706, 707, 708, 709 and up to 715).

    Hi Bodyart

    Thanks for your reply

For the past 5 years i have used the graphic blocks but they can't be used for scenes for Hue's bulbs.

This is the first time I have tried the lua, so I am completely bare.

Unfortunately, after I managed to make the scene work, I have got a problem with access to my scenes.

I get the message: 403 Forbidden access.

I might have to uninstall the new scene?

In case anyone is - like me -  looking for the ID's that are no longer displayed in the Hue app; take a look at the

. This gives a clear explanation on how to address the Hue Bridge and - eventually - will enable you to get the ID's of the various bulbs in the bridge.

It´s an old post but in case people are still looking for a Philips Hue light id or bulb id, you can find this id up in the search bar
