Philips Hue not showing in app

Question

Posted (edited)

I integrated a few philips hue bedside lamps. They show up in the fibaro web gui and work fine from there.

However:

- they do not appear in the app

- they cannot be used in any scene

This seems impossible... what do i do wrong?

thanks

Hi @MarcFinns ,

Can you be more clear on how did you integrated Philips HUE? Is it with Philips HUE plugin from Plugin section of the HC, or it is with Philips HUE AIO VD (virtual device)?

I used the only hue plugin in the plugin section of the HC

    Hi @MarcFinns ,

Well, that plugin is a bit obsolete, but still working with some of the color bulbs. It will not work with color temperature bulbs correctly. Anyway, plugin you can see in Plugin section on old app or of course in the rooms where you put them. They do not appear under lighting section.

For some weird reason plugins can't be used in block scenes at least not this one. But it can be used in LUA scenes with this functions:

The other solution is to use Virtual Device:

This one works with all known types of bulbs (at least I still didn't get any feedback that it doesn't). Has a Button to activate colorloop effect and button to give visual alert that can be used for example to flash blue when rain start. It also supports grpous of bulbs.

I'm now working on new version that will also support scenes that are made with Philips original app :-)

    Hope that this helps.

    Enjoy coding :-)
