"Assertion failed" error in VD to change states

nicopret

Question

I'm "cleaning code" on my HC2 to ensure that it runs without any errors.

When I start my HC2 after a power off I get the error: "line 155: Assertion failed". I don't get the error other than during startup and it therefore seems to be a "timing issue", especially since line 155, does not exist, since the code is only 72 lines. I have no idea why this error is reported. The code is based on an adapted version of @Sankotronic VD Home Status Version 1.0. which I use set set certain states for my Very Smart Light scenes.

I commented out some of the code I don't want/use from the original VD code dowloaded. Below find the code from the main loop. I have also attached the full code for the VD which is very basic.

Any ideas what might be causing the error or how to find the problem?

Hi @nicopret,

that error is caused by this line:

You don't have lightState declared like the rest of the globals you are setting in your labels.
