I would like to use a Clipsal switch to trigger a scene.

i have 240v input available behind switch plate to power smart device.

does anybody know what i could use to achieve this.

I do not want to connect a load. essentially i want to make a clipsal switch into a remote switch.

thanks

Not sure I fully understand the situation, but I may have a similar scenario.

I have a light which is controlled by 3 different switches, each over 10 metres apart. I can't figure out how to use a dimmer, and use all 3 switches (I don't think I have 2 wires running between switches I can use for parallel connection of the momentary pushbutton switches).

To solve this (expensive):  at the light switch points I have :

Switch  Location1: Fibaro Dimmer, connected to momentary button

Switch Location 2: Fibaro Double Switch, connected to a momentary button and 240Vac, but no load

Switch location 3: Fibaro Double Switch, connected to a momentary button and 240VAC but no load.

In my home centre2, I've written some LUA, so when the double switches are turned on/off, they tell the dimmer to turn the light on/off.  It means that I can only dim from location 1, but can turn on/off from locations 2 and 3 which is fine for our situation...

So, in your example, you can use a clipsal panel, put a clipsal momentary mech in the panel (I used Clipsal bell press 30MBP), and a Fibaro Switch/double switch/relay. Connect the Fibaro switch to the bell press button and 240V. Don't connect any load to the Fibaro.

You now can use this in your HomeCentre2 to trigger a scene, by making the scene event source, the Fibaro switch changing on/off.

World's most expensive remote switch (!), but I think it gets around any issues you have putting anything near 240VAC wiring. (ie: putting a low voltage Wifi switch behind the panel would be dangerous I think).

This is an expensive option, but considering the cost of electrician's time (if you're not DIY), then the cost of the Fibaro puck can sometimes be cheaper than running additional wires if your house setup makes extra wiring difficult (like mine does)..

HTH. Cheers, Scott.
