Connecting Fibaro HC2 to a Telstra Nighthawk M2 Mobile router.

Naf

Question

I recently tried changing my HC2 from my home fixed internet where i was testing the HC2 and had it all working perfect and i wanted  to switch it to the Telstra nighthawk M2 router so that i could get it all ready before id take it to the display home that i wanted to install it in to but i couldn’t seem to get it to work. Then i tried doing a factory reset on the HC2 to start from the beginning and now i am stuck with Fibaro finder not able to find anything. I am a little confused at the moment.
I have even now tried to plug in to my existing fixed internet network where the HC2 was working perfect previously with dimming modules, Aeotec sensor, automation bridge, harmony hub and Alexa.
Any suggestions on what i can do to get this going again?

Actualy it cycling from DHCP to Static and Back.

@Naf, connect it to your router and make long press to plus (+) button. If there was static IP, it changes back to DHCP. Last week i "repaired" HCL this way.

The problem is probably that your HC2 has a fixed IP address and the router has a different IP address.
If you configure your HC2 to DHCP, it should work no matter what IP address your router has.

RECOVERY • Disconnect the power supply.

Press and hold Recovery button when reconnecting the power supply (release the button after entering Recovery Mode)*.

• click once - entering Learn Mode (add new Z-Wave device),

• click twice - entering Learn Mode (delete Z-Wave device),

• press and hold to set static IP: 192.168.81.1

* *Note: after setting static IP Home Center 2 will loose the router connection.

  • Thank you.

I connected back to the router and made the long press to (+) button and it seems it found the IP address and Fibaro finder found the IP address of HC2 192.168.1.88 but when i click connect on the Fibaro finder it says Safari can't open the page 192.168.1.88 because the server where this page is located isn't responding. Sorry if this is a silly question but could it be because my IP address of my NetGear modem is 192.168.1.1

    No, that is absolutely correct.
Your HC2 and your router must have the first three digit groups equal in order for them to contact each other.
In your case it should be 192.168.1.XXX.

XXX can be 2 up to 255.
