Wrong device type in Google Home

perjar

Question

Hi,

How do I get the device type as set in HC2 to be correctly reflected in Google Home?

Actually, it works fine for my in-wall Fibaro devices (dimmer and switch) but not for the wall plug.  Wall plugs are for some reason always seen as "light" by Google Home, even if I define them "Other device", "Toaster" or something else in the advanced setting called "Controlled device" in HC2.

This becomes a problem when I tell Google Assistant to "Turn off all lights" and it switches off not just all the lights, but also the coffee maker, mini fridge, air con and a bunch of other non-light units.

Any idea how to fix this?

Exactly the same problem I have.

Does any one know?

Or how do you hide a device in Fibaro for the Google Assistant if it isn't possible to change it?
