Adding Aerotec WallMoteA Quad to HC2

Question

Posted

I am having no trouble adding a WallMote Quad to my Home Center 2 but each time I do it seems to add 5 devices each with their individual ID. Is this correct? Is so the. I will fill my 200 or so addressable devices quite quickly.

Also, the HC2 sets up a master and 4 slaves for each wallmote. How do these interact?

thanks for any advice.

With hc2 you can use 230 (254 actualy) unique devices, so the wallmote is 1 device, no matter how many slave devices are created.

I don't know how the slaves interact because i don't own a hc2.

Yes, this is right, but this is only 1 ID with sub IDs.

Only the Device with the first ID (e.g. XXX.0) is required, the other Devices (XXX.1 - XXX.4) can be hidden.
