Scene with manual override?

Question

Posted (edited)

I have set up an automated lights scene with Home and away variables. The lights turns on in the evening at  dimmed values of 15 & 20 if home. Now I only want it to go on at night and from then control it manually. But the scene keeps running and if try and dim the light with the wall switch its stays at the value of 15. How can I change them manually?

Hi,

you have to stop the scene running. Maybe at a certain time or maybe with a switch/dimmer as trigger.

Could you post the scene with triggers shown also... I mean what scene's trigger(s) ?

It might be that one of the triggers is dimmer himself, so when you try to set manually the light, it triggers the scene and overrides your setup

I would like to suggest to use All-in-One Scene.

You can do what you need fast and clean

Any more info on this? I can't program in LUA.

Now I recall, to override dimming level manually, you need to follow/change parameters below ( assuming you're using fibaro's dimmer)

Lua won't help in this case

@Krizb, how do you check whether you are at home or not?

After some more testing  i found out it now already works out of the box. First time i tried, i could only turn of the lights but not dim them. Now everything works as i wanted. I had a tasker profile running before when i came home to set the home and away status but changed to just a wall switch. I guess it was continuously starting the scene. Thanks for the answers.
