Node Red http character encoding

Question

Posted (edited)

Hi all, I am now trying to send a parameter to node red via net.HTTPClient() using get method in lua scene.  The parameter is stored in a GlobalVariable.  It parses successfully but Node Red always see the msg.payload as strange code.  Yes, the value of the globalvariable on HC2 is not english (I want to do TTS so the character is in Chinese).

Anyone know how to correct this? I am not sure it should be done in the lua scene or node red.. btw the parameter is an object when received by node red.
