Question

Posted

I'm way far from my home and today I opened the fibaro app to turn on a light to see how is my cat doing... and then the app stopped working. I connected by VPN to my local network and opened hc2 to see 503 error - server unavailable out of nowhere.

Please login or register to see this image.

Clicking "Restart services" just rebooted the device and gave the same results of 503 error.

Dear fibaro, what am I suppose to do with all of this? I can not see any temperature sensors data and can not turn off the light back.

I regret I bought the home center. I'd better buy an USB stick and automate everything with raspberry pi and nodered that are much more stable and reliable I suppose.

Do you use new mobile app from Fibaro? If yes remove it from smartphone to be sure that it not connect to your HC2. After this restart your HC2 by "Restart services" or better by rest client with POST {"recovery":"false"} to http://$HC2IP/services/system/reboot.php and your login data.

or from linux by curl --connect-timeout 10 -m 10 --user $HCLOG -X POST -d '{"recovery":"false"}' http://$HC2IP/services/system/reboot.php

when HCLOG="[email protected]:password"

Maybe this help you

Hi, drboss and thanks! That really helped to get it back fully operable. (I remove the new app and run curl on url).

Is this something related to the new app?

Yes, this is problem of new amplification not resolved in last stable version and exist from beginning and know by Fibaro team. When it query data via cloud they randomly crash hc remotely.
