Simple Timer Scene

Question

Hi

I am trying to make a simple timer scene for when my kids leave lights on in the house. I have created one using a block scene as shown below.

It does work however it keeps hitting an error saying max running instances. Now I can see that option in the settings of it and it's set to two. But what do I do just change it to 10?

What is the max running instances I can't find any info on it.

Thanks

Hi there,

I'm new at this as well, but it should be easier to deal with this in the parameters of the switch or actor.

There are parameters to set the off time in most actors.

Parameter 10

First channel - operating mode
This parameter allows to choose operating for the 1st channel controlled by the S1 switch.

0 - standard operation
Standaard waarde
1 - delay ON function
2 - delay OFF function
3 - auto ON function
4 - auto OFF function
5 - flash function

Parameter 11

First channel - reaction to switch for delay/auto ON/OFF modes
This parameter determines how the device in timed mode reacts to pushing the switch connected to the S1 terminal.
0 - cancel mode and set target state
Standaard waarde
1 - no reaction to switch - mode runs until it ends
2 - reset timer - start counting from the beginning

Parameter 12

First channel - time parameter for delay/auto ON/OFF modes
This parameter allows to set time parameter used in timed modes.
Setting parameter to 0 results in setting time to 0.1s.
1s

Hope this helps some...

    Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately I don't think that I am able to do that with my switches. I am using the Aeotec Nano range and they don't seem to have a parameter for those options. I have changed the max running instances to 10 so I guess if my kids turn the light on and off 10 times in 20 minutes then it will fail.

It's the best that I can come up with at the moment.

    Cheers
