Range extender for smoke detectors

I try to install a fire/over temp system with Smoke detector.  Half of the detector reach the controller direct but the rest do not......

Today I have Home center lite and 16 smoke sensors FGSD-002

I have relice that battery powered smoke sensor dont transfer Z-wave traffic from neighbours.....

No other units then smoke detectors and a controller is involved at the moment.

Then I try to attach a 230V Fibaro  smart plug into the network as a range extender...

Will this work or do I have to upgrade to Home center 2 and use my HomeCenter lite as range extender

( I think I need at leas 2 extender then the building is with concreate walls and my current controller is centralized..

Will a number of smartplugs solve my problem or do I have to uppgrade to more controller to get this running in a stabile and safe way?

Is there anything in the smartplug configuration I have to take care of or do they work as repeters by automatic ?

Best regards

hi @Erik.rosen,

smart plugs (or any other mains powered z-wave device) will work as extender.

No special setting required.

You can even use the smart plug LED ring to do a range test and see if it reaches your HC Lite.
