Fibaro HC2 - issue with Hue Plugin

Hello all,

 

I am troubleshooting since some weeks an issue of the integration between HC2 and Philips Hue.

 

Problem Description:

- No function between HC2 and Philips Hue is working - so I cannot control any light function anymore through HC2 no scene is working, neither directly out of HC2 or using a fibaro walli switch

- All Hue functions are working directly with the Hue APP (without Fibaro)

- Fibaro HC2 shows that Hue Plugin is active - so there is a connection - it also shows "found lights" - I am used in case of a connectivity issue it shows here a connection error

- both systems are in the same l2 subnet, even attached on the same switch - from my home pc I can confirm that I can reach both devices

- there was no change by myself neither to HC2 nor to Hue - I had a working setup and 1 day later the functionality was gone!

- IPs are set to static, so also there no change...

- Restart of Hue and HC2 without any effect

 

Fibaro HC 2 running 4.560

 

As I am willing investing further into the Fibaro equipment I would first like to see that the existing environment is running in a stable condition... Therefore requesting some help..

For my perspective I cannot troubleshoot the issue further - but so far I cannot validate why the integration is not working..

did the hue bridge change ip?

if you delete the hue lights in hc2 and you scnan for new lights, will the lights come back?

 

if that doesn't work try:

HueGtw = Net.FHttp("192.168.1.204",80)
HueGtw:PUT ('/api/newdeveloper/lights/3/state', '{"on":true}') 
 

change ip to youre bridge ip

create user newdeveloper on youre bridge

@akatarthanks for your suggestion - i tried it right now to delete a device - somehow it is removed?? i press delete i confirm it, and it still stays in the system - any fault by my side?

 will now update first to 4.570  and see if there´s any change,...

ok fancy, after the sw upgrade of the hc2 the integration is working again.. not sure if there was a bug fix included which was not directly listed in the patch notes, or if some cleanup job did its job.. anyhow.. working

quick update.. a kind of similar issue re occured after using the functionality a couple of times.. unfortunately the same behaviour happened again - only log message in the system was that one scene was started too often.. integration broken again.. a restart of the system this time solved it.. somehow this is really strange.. anyone else having these types of issues that the hc2 to hue integration using the plugin is not really reliable?

I had the same issue you had on version 4.560. Idid an update to version 4.570 and now all of a suddon the hue plugin shows it's connected again.

 

But I'm affraid the issues will come back...
