Fibaro dimmer turn on delay

msialk

Question

I have Fibaro Dimmer 2 in two-way (staircase) switch. Probably insteller connected something wrong and right now when I turn on switch on the wall light turns on after 5 seconds (delay). I tried to change different parameters, set all of them to 0ms, but nothing changed. Only changing parameter 9 to 0 leads to the situation that wall switches do not work at all.

Could youo help me and provide any solution? I do not want to change wires. Can I fix it by changing some parameters or write some work-around code in LUA (I have HC2)?

Have you checked that there are no errors on your HC2. That could be "too many instances" or something similar. If yes: Delete the errors. And if the switch is not controlled by a script, then raise the number of possible running in the device's template.

If the switch is controlled by a lua program, then insert a piece of code that terminate more runnings of the program. Search on this forum!

Finally, a restart of the HomeCenter could help.

And more advanced: Check your z-wave network. Perhaps your switch is too far from the HomeCenter or the nearest other z-wave device. You can try to optimise your z-wave network in the settings panel. Choose z-wave and rebuild the network.

Are you sure you have dimmer 2?

Changing parameter 9 to 0 doesn't do what you have described in dimmer 2, but does for dimmer 1.

In any case please try to change parameters

Dimmer 1:  parameters 11 and 12 (step percentage and step delay).

Dimmer 2:  parameters 7 and 8 (step percentage and step delay).
