Hi,

I am no longer here for controller posts but still visit regularly as I have a lot of Fibaro devices. My HC2 is cold and unplugged.

This is not because HC2/HC3 is not a good product but because I prefer open solutions and Fibaro is closed and locked down and I felt I had too little control over how it behaved. This suites some but not me.

@petergebruers reviewed some posts for me and thought some of you may be interested. I do owe a lot to a few people here so I thought only reasonable to share back.

They are published on the openHAB forum and I hope compliment @tinman's guide and @amilanov's guide in this section. It is not complete yet and I will be adding more so I will link rather than repost. There is some more work needed around how routing is managed during slave retries and explorer and slaves since Peter's kind review.

I hope these will help you get the best out of your z-wave with either HC2 or HC3.

both link formats so you know I am not taking you anywhere worse than the openHAB forum or as some Fibaro users affectionately call it "The Dark Side".

Whatever controller you use I wish you luck and hope your automation is a pleasant experience.

Robert

  • But does it need any corrections.

I know it needs some punctuation and a lot of spelling.

No corrections needed as far as I can tell. Excellent job!
