Heat controller temp sensor

Question

Posted

Hi, just bought a heat controller without a temp sensor and I'm struggling to activate the temperature measurement. Does it even work without an external temp sensor? Looks like it has a built in temp sensor but won't use it. I tried to upgrade to version 4.5 as specified on forum but when I check for a new update it tells me that 4.4 is the latest. Any ideas?

Yes it works with the builtin temperatur sensor. You should try to update on version 4.5 - so it is working in my system. Then the temperatur is correct shown.

Greetings!

@fauxir, please send serial number of your HC and Heat Control with device version to UK FIBARO distributor or directly to FIBARO.

Maybe, they could push version 4.5 to show in BUI of your HC.

If you choose directly contact FIBARO, please wait for ticket number to appear, then give it a day and call them.

@fauxir, that 0°C looks like external sensor is not paired or paired wrongly. I would suggest to try pair it again or reset temperature sensor.

Hello , @fauxir have you already tried to

Please login or register to see this link.

? And after that include Heat controller back into HC.

From my experiences I noticed, that sometimes incorrect firmware version of Fibaro modules are shown in HC system, so reset of Heat Controller and also reboot HC could help.

But if none of above help, I hope you will resolve this issue with Fibaro support.

Fun fact @jakub.jezek, @SmarterHOME,   24h later after you guys advised me about that issue my home centre received an update(which wasn't available before as I checked ) and after that update the 4.5 firmware version of the heat controller became available.  Thanks again for your support guys!
