HC2 setup without LAN access?

Question

Posted

Hi, I have two questions in fact:

1. Can I set up HC2 just using Wifi?

2. What happens if I move my HC2 to another building and connect it to another network? Can I configure equipment for second buliding while I have all my previous setup saved?

@Jachim

1- hc2 has no wifi, so without a lan no connection to the hc2

2- yes, but the devices already in the hc2 will give errors (dead nodes)

    Thanks akatar. This was useful.

    I wanted to check some stuff in my new flat so just took my HC2 together with standard UPC router from current place. Had no internet connection but this was good enough.

    Only thing is that Android app said it would not work with Wifi that has no internet connection. But that was not needed for the moment.

    Just open an internet browser on youre Phone and type the hc2 IP-adres. hc2 has a web interface.
