Odd behavior when setting up

tmb_gipp

Question

Just received the DWS from Amazon NIB along with the DS18B20.  Setting this device up has been a struggle.  Following the directions to a T I cannot get my ST hub to discover in either of the Samsung apps (classic, new).  When I depress the bottom button three times it just blinks two times and does nothing.  I attempted the reset EPROM and that has not worked either.  I have tried installing with the sensor installed and not and get the same results.  Anyone have a solution before I return for refund?

Can you explain a little more clearly what you are trying to do. DS18B20 I know it's a temperature sensor, but what are DWS, T and ST hubs?

  • @RH_Dreambox, DWS=Door/Window Sensor, ST=Smart Things and T is an expression exclaiming you followed the directions as specified.

I cannot get the device to communicate with the Smart Things hub.  When I press the TMP button on the bottom of the device 3x it just blinks twice and nothing more.  It does not communicate that it is ready to pair nor does the hub detect the sensor.
