Wired alarm sensor integration to HCL

Question

Posted

Hi All,

I am would like to use existing wired door and window sensor in order to use HCL as alarm system. After scene creation I would like HCL will informed me on my mobile and start external buzzer.

My sensors have 2 wires.

I would really appreciate if anybody could help me with following points:

1. I am going to use Fibaro Smart Implant. Can I use at the mode "Two wires connection"?

2. If YES as I understand I can use 1 Smart Implant for 2 sensors. Correct?

3. If answer number 1 is NO which mode to use on Fibaro Smart Implant or which third party item to use?

4. How to power up Fibaro Smart Implant. Can I use any external power supply 9-30V?

5. Does anybody know any third party product that allow me to connect more then 2 wired sensors?

6. How to started a wired buzzer HCL? Which product I can use to convert Z-Wave signal for analog one which start and power the buzzer?

Thanks in advance

Hello

My HC2 died and I now have a HC3 but this is how it also worked on the HC2. Did all the programming with Block Scripts:

Universal Sensor connected to my burglary alarm. ("old" smart implant, on this device Input controls Output, you can't control outputs from software.)

If Input 1 (armed) is breached a scene turns off all devices

If input 2 (burglary alarm in alarm mode) another scene sends camera pictures and turn on lights.

Smart Implant:

Input 1 and 2 not used.

Output 1 used to arm/disarm my alarm panel (connected to an input on my burglary alarm. controlled from software)

Output 2 not used but can be controlled from the software.

On my HC3 the inputs can be disconnected from the inputs and both are visible in the interface. This should be the same on the HC2 but it died on me before I could try to use them.

If you connect the alarm contacts in series (NC - the prefered way with burglary alarm) or parallel (NO) you can have as many contacts as you want on one input but you can´t tell which one that is breached.

Maybe I will be able to test the inputs on my HC3 next week but right now I don´t have the time :(
