tempFunc() and its purpose?

Question

Posted (edited)

Hi all,

Im getting a little confused by the purpose and case use of tempFunc()

What does it serve in each of these examples?

A:             setTimeout(tempFunc, 60*1000)

B:             if (sourceTrigger["type"] == "autostart") then
                tempFunc()

?           function tempFunc()

I've searched the web Been through the Fibaro LUA developer docs to no avail.

It always seems to be involved in scenes and often wont work without it, but I'm unsure why.

setTimeout(tempFunc, 60*1000) does the same as fibaro:sleep(60*1000), ie. a delay of 60 seconds.
Here is a good description.
