Turn on Light from string VD

Question

Posted

I have a VD Im using to populate variables for status. One of them works as below.

PUT /api/globalVariables/entrySensor HTTP/1.1
Host: 127.0.0.1
Authorization: Basic c2VhbkBzbWFydGVyZWxlYkhglhgjhbjhbkjhjhbkjhbkjbvkjhv. (not actual code)

{"name":"entrySensor","value":"Override"}

I want to use the same methodology to add a simple on and off button to this VD to control a dimmer or relay.

How would I go about this? Ive read through the HC2/docs , fibaro developers and this forum but just cant get it to work .

I go ok with LUA but this stuff kills me.

Thanks.
