Local backup overwrite - HC2 overwrites local backups

Question

Posted (edited)

Hi all,

despite my other problems with my HC2, I recently realized that my system automatically overwrites local backups. Cloud backups are saved each time one after the other, as it is supposed to be. But each time I do a local backup, only the last one is saved, the previous is gone...

Once I had a problem when I did a local backup and my system got frozen during backup, and all of my local backups were lost. Before that incident my local backups were saved one after the other, as expected. After that incident I only have one local backup: the latest.

I am running on the latest FW 4.59 but I had this issue with the previous FW version too.

I have plenty of free space on the local drive, using only a few percentage.

Has anyone had the same issue before?

well, since 4.500 there is - by design - only space for ONE local backup on the internal Flash drive, you probably missed this Information in release notes during update to 4.500

    @johndeere

    The local backup is supposed to be downloaded (saved) to your computer, so you can save as many copies as you need.

    Backup file is having a unique name>>>backup_HC2-055203_2020_05_24-17_56_59

    After backing up as said above you need to download the file!

    It cant be overwritten.

    Succes,
