Dimmer control by another dimmer

At dimmer A is a light connected.

There is another dimmer B installed, with has only a bypass.

 

Now I want to dimm the light of dimmer A with the pushbutton connected to S1 of dimmer B in realtime.

 

I assume I have to set assosiations at dimmer A?

Can someone please give me an example how to do it?

Yes, you need associations.

Groups of assciations will differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. But in general you need Association group for On/Off and Association group for dimming.

 

And if you do not want to screw up with device status to HC, do not touch Lifeline group (Association group 1 with Z-Wave plus devices).
