Hi!

I am looking to integrate my garage door with my Fibaro system and have the door open when I arrive at home, and I was looking at the Aeotec garage door opener. However it seems to me that having the door open when my iPhone is within a certain range, actually doesn't work. My other option is to go for a standalone system with its own app that has this functionality.

Any help would be appreciated

what garagedoor opener do you have? With most systems you can add a 'manual' switch to open en close, and that can off course also be a fibaro relay switch.

And if you can detect the iPhone, you can open it. Is that your problem? Isn't the iPhone detected?

The problem is that it seems that having the garage door open automatically when my iPhone is less than 50 meters away, for example, does not work. I have created a simple scene for testing this that should switch my garage lights on when my iPhone is less than 50 meters away, but it doesn't work. I have the app running with all permissions.

first step is how do you detect your iPhone is in 50m? And does that cause a trigger?

Here is what the test scene looks like. I am not getting any push-notifications when I arrive at home, even if the iPhone app is running. Have been looking for a "how to" on setting this up, but haven't found anything.

Can anyone give me an example of how you would set up a scene that runs when your phone comes within range to open a garage door for example?

    Thanks
