Question

Posted

Hi all,

I have bought a MCO Home MH7H-WH thermostat. It works fine manually but when I go to LinkedDevices panel to create a link for HeatingPanel the Relay part doesn't show up as a possible choice in the Devices menu - so once I select the Thermostat item, I have nothing to connect it to.

Is this because I am on 4.560 or do I need to do something else?

Thanks!
Riccardo

@RiccardoCanetta, that device does not show relay. But heating panel can control your thermostat by setting temperature. You just need to add room to heating zone, creat heating zone with room thermostat is in move thermostat to room, which is part of heating panel.

Hi @jakub.jezek thanks for the feedback, I did as you said but there is something I don't understand. Now HeatingPanel for Room "Cucina" is set to 24 but MH7H doesn't switch on the heating

Please login or register to see this attachment.

The only way I have to switch on the heating is to manually select "Heating" from the menu of the other object:

Any clue of what am I doing wrong?

    Thanks!

Hi @RiccardoCanetta, please leave mode to Heating only.

Hi @jakub.jezek unfortunately if I set 661.3 to "Heating" the heating starts (Thermostat display shows "Manual" instead of "Auto"), even if it shouldn't (heating panel set to 18 and current temp 19,6, manual mode OFF)

It looks like heating panel is associated to 661.0 but heating switch is actually 661.3 even if in Room settings the "main thermostat" is 661.0. Is it correct to have both 661.0 and 661.3 created when including in HC2? I already tried a reconfigure and it didn't change, maybe I should try exclude/include again?

    Thanks

    R

Auto mode is for use in case of heating shedule inside thermostat. Manual mode should be used in case of control from smart home system.

ok finally I got it thanks! - now the problem is that heating system acts exactly opposite of what thermostat tells it to do, but this should be easy to solve, moving the valve wire from NC to NO (even though it is NC). Did you also experience this behaviour?

    Thanks!!

It depends on valve you have. Meaning if its NC or NO. If it does oposite, move wires in thermostat from NC to NO or vice versa.

thanks I have done it and now everything is ok. The strange thing is that valve box says NC but I had to connect it to NO terminal...

    Thanks!

The other question on this thermostat is how to deal with it if:

MCO Home MH7H-WH thermostat controls on/off heating for all zones in the house

    - you've got several zones with their different schedules

How to switch thermostat on if its zone is ok but the other zone has temperature lower that desired level?

And how to do it with HCL

I believe it is about multiroom...

    Hi

I have  MCO Home  MH7H-EH Water Heating Thermostat, and HC3  and I have created  trough Add device/Other Device/ Thermostat a link with a Fibaro double Swicth to control  the valve for that room : linked the temp sensor from MCOHome thermostat and fibaro double switch and It's working .

But I have a issue whats happen when  a set a temperature on the wall mounted thermostat ? Not trough the virtual thermostat created .
