Blinds/shutters - now supported (nearly?)

aaa426

Question

I was delighted to see my roller blinds appearing in my Android Google Home app yesterday ?

Please login or register to see this image.

You can't actually do anything with them yet (you just get the settings when you click the icon) but it's hopefully a good sign for the future

Interesting to see the 2 different icons: The 'French Window Blind' is a Fibaro Roller Shutter 3, the others are for non-Fibaro roller shutter devices.

@aaa426 have you set role for them and set PIN? if yes they schould work.

Yes yesterday we updated our skill, and we added better support for Fibaro ecosystem.

The most important features include control:

- light .

- other switches

- roller shutters (z-wave , as well as Nice roller shutters) in the case of one-way Nice roller shutters, as they are not supported by one-way device assistants voice commands work correctly, but the application will return an error because it will not obtain the state of the roller shutter

- gates - the same caution as one-way shutters

- temperature sensors

- climate zone control (controlling heating or cooling)

- Contact sensors like door sensor or window sensor

- in the case of Alexa, the block scenes (Amazon restriction) and all scenes in the case of Google

Hi A.Socha,

I posted a related topic to this today, perhaps you can answer my question?

They do all have roles (see 1st screenshot below), but I don't know where or why I would set a PIN (there are no alarm components in my system).  I still only see the icons in GA as shown in my original post, and tapping on them takes me straight to the 'Device Settings' page (2nd screenshot), rather than the page showing controls.

Yes in google app (home) there is no control, you need wait for update from google, but device is working you can easy check that by saying command ok google close x. Before we made a trick that we cheated google that "it was a dimmer" because google don't supported shutters, that way on command turn on light shutter was start moving, now we are supporting type how we should

Thank you,  @A.Socha - I didn't even think to try.  But yes, voice command works perfectly ?

Now we just need to get the RGBW controller properly recognised in GA, and I'll be as happy as can be
