Geolocation

Anyone know how to get geolocation working or when an update will be available? Not having this feature after moving from a mature system is a major limitation of owning a HC4

Just use IFTTT if you don’t get it working on the HC3 itself. You can make two triggers on IFTTT, for leaving or for entering a geo location.

I tried to use Block Programming in HC3 and still the same problem, no notification. I also allowed Home Center app for location access but it does not work.

I didn’t even tried it with the HC3 itself. I use IFTTT (although other also have issues with IFTTT) and it works fine.

Now that geolocation is added to home centre 1.9.0, anyone had success with it and the HC3. Not working for me even though iPhone set to allow location access to “always”

It works with two different user - you have to enable it in the app!

Hi @kallecux , can you tell me some more on how you did this? I enabled it in the app and i made a simple block scene that should give me a push mail if i leave or enter the house. But it doesn't work. The scene does work if i run it by hand, but the geolocatin doesn't trigger....

any hint is graely appreciated

Check the property - its the location!

Have you checked the ios-settings to allow the fibaro-app to use your geodata always?

Thks @kallecux , it looks like it works. But very strange for me is why the block diagram doesn't work.  I;ve seen it before, lua works and the block doesn't

Just some additional tips: @Nevlev

- you have to create a fibaro account on fibaro site for every user

- create the user on the HC3 user tab

- you have to install the app on the phone

- login in on the app and enable geofencing there

- and then: important: go to the installations on your phone, to the app and enable location sharing set to always! (and not just only when app is used!!) (took a while to figure this one out!!)

- then try the script above and it will work, if you fill in the right id's for the user

Has anyone else had issues with the radius around the location when setting geofencing up in the HC3? The minimum I can enter is 150m. This is a huge area around the house.

Its still give data away or home.

For me its functioning verry well if I am in the range of 150 m it will start to home/away cycle.

Its working excellent!

Remark: If I am working in the garden I dont need my location will be changed in away of garden

I read with immense interest your post on geofencing.

I'm ready for the tests.

 

However, I don't know what exactly the value of the expression "property = 219" refers to?

You specify that it is about renting.

But expressed in what form? Meters (circumference), degrees, location ID in HC3?
I can't find any correlation.

"property = 219" is your HC3

If you create a block scene and change if finished in LUA you will see it

In General>>Location you can set the distance in m
