Can a standard switch be a trigger?

Question

Posted

Hi all,

I'm looking for a solution for the following setup:

I have a qubino flush dimmer connected to a standard switch controlling a lamp. What I would like to do, is that when the motion sensor is triggered, the dimmer sets the lamp to 15%, and when I use the switch itself, the dimmer goes to 100%.

Currently, if the dimmer is set to 15% by the motion sensor, the switch will also only turn the lights on to 15%.

Thanks in advance!

TL;DR;

your script should handle BOTH cases - motion and manual switch.

so

if dimmer was activated by your script (AKA motion) yousetup lighting 15%

if you manually turning ON the light your script should "is motion here" oh no! no motion but somebody turnred ON me. OK let patch dimmin to 100%

if motion detected and lighting is 100% just exit.

    I have no problem with switching on by motion, but how can I detect that it's switched on manually?

    variable, Carl! :)

    if you turing ON light via script set variable = SelfAction = true.

    if lighting was ON not by script )AKA manual) this variable not be settted as SelfAction = true
