Question

Posted

Hi everybody,

If I well understood everything, video stream is possible only in MJPEG on the Fibaro HC3 ?

If yes can you share what camera and intercom you are using that are fully working with HC3.

Maybe Hikvision cameras and intercoms ? Doorbird's ?

Thanks for sharing..

Good morning!

This is a post from A.Socha, there he wrote, that fibaro is working on H264 cameras.

Maybe the list of cameras may grow. :-)

Greetings

HC3 got zigbee chip on board HC3L not.

I understood that you are sad that we not offer zigbee engine right now. (Price of Hc3 is that same like HC2) Please tell me how you want to use it, with what devices? Because ZigBee is not a z-wave you got a lot of standards

Right now we focus on cameras 264, gateway connection and energy panel, support of devices from our Nice group; later climate panel, garden panel,

We are watching about CHIP where what they will release, what may change that Zigbee will be a lot of more important for us

I think there will be plugins for Dahua and Hikvision. Other camera would need to have MJPG. At least if I understand it correctly.

@mattrix and @Fireman

Regarding Intercom question. I would recommend DoorBird.

For video you need to set Watch always permission for user if not set.

Video streams:

  • JPG: bha-api/image.cgi
  • MJPG: bha-api/video.cgi

Inputs is a bit tricky with HC3. Easiest way is have virtual binary switch, like the one bellow and create HTTP request for it in HTTP Calls in DoorBird.

It would look like:

http://<HC3_username>:<HC3_password@<HC3_IP_adress>/api/callAction?deviceID=<device_id>&name=turnOn

Example: http://user1:P@[email protected]/api/callAction?deviceID=341&name=turnOn
