Controlling Vaillant Vsmart thermostat with HC3

Has anybody been able to control a Vsmart thermostat from within HC3?

I don’t want to use IFTTT because of security and no readout is possible.

I have a Valliant but not the Vsmart. Haven’t found API documentation yet. 
 

It is supposedly to be a rebranded version of Netatmo, so it should be doable ? ?

The Vsmart is connected to WiFi, so it should not be too hard controlling it.

Should we use HASS for controlling Vailant or USE it as a gateway ?

Sounds complicated. More like if it is possible in HASS, then it should be possible in Fibaro Homecenter.
