Change Wi-Fi network for Wall Plug

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I'm building a new network and doing it as best practice. That means, that all IoT-Devices going to a separate VLAN, so that they (even if someone grants access to them) never can get into my "productive" network (with Server, Mac/Windows-Clients etc) - or vice versa.

For now I changed every IoT device very easily - Apple TVs, Homepods, Netatmo Relais, Meross Smart Plugs, Pioneer AVR, Smart TVs, Harmony Hub - every thing went fine - until I want to do it with my Fibaro Wall Plug.

Quote from the manual:

  1. Quote

    1. The Wall Plug allows to reset its Wi-Fi settings and get new setting from your iOS device.

      To reset Wi-Fi settings:

      1. Press and hold the button. (done!)

      2. When the LeD glows red, release the button. (done!)

      3. immediately click the button again to confirm. (done!)

      4. LeD ring will glow yellow for 30 minutes (yes, it does!), while waiting for new settings from iOS device. (but how?! :-) )

And thats it --- but how I set the new settings? There wont popup a notification within the Fibaro App (like Netatmo) nor there popup a notification within the Home app (like Meross).

So how do I tell my wall plug - while it glows yellow as described above - that there's a new Wi-Fi network to connect to?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Have a nice day - kind regards.
