Recovery corrupted

Question

Posted

Having issues with my HC2. It goes to static IP (192.168.81.1) since something happned and I have now tried to do the recovery to get it back to factory reset, but get this error message "Unexpected error occured. Image corrupted".

I can actually get the device booted outside of recovery but it goes to 192.168.81.1 and not the old adress it has had for a few years. I wonder if I accidentally pressed the recovery button too long and changed from dynamic to static IP.

Is there a way to reverse that? i.e. go back from static to dynamic via some button pressing sequence? That would probably solve things for me because with the right IP settings the device could access the internet I can do a password reset and then fix rest of the issues there.

I got exactly the same problem, today. First, there was an error in accessing HC2, then after my attempt to go with recovery process, I can see with Fibaro Finder my HC2 IP 192.168.81.1

My router starts at 192.168.1.1

HC2 was set up for dynamic IP.

Help is very appreciated.

Great. It helped. I'm curious why the manual does not state it works both ways: change to static IP and change to dynamic IP as well.

Thank you!
