Block Scene not functioning

Question

Posted

I created a simple scene for my HUE lights:

  • Motion detected
  • time between x and y
  • Lamp not on

Then it should switch on my lights. Attached a screenshot.

When I only do motion detected and the time no issue. Lights will switch on.

When I add the lamp for the check if the lights are not already on the scene will not function anymore. Lights will not switch on.

How come?

@markb81

because the trigger is turned off, so if the light goes from on to off, so if the light is off it will not do anything.

Better (something that fibaro has to change) that you can say light is off in stead is turned off

there is a workaround for this

create a variable, toiletlight with on and off

create 2 extra block scenes

if toilet light is on then set variable toiletlight to on and visaversa

change youre original blockscene, erase the toiletlight is turne off and add the variable is off

hope you understand what i mean.

I solved it through Brightness. Check if Brightness 0%

Good one! Thanks for that. That will probably work.
