Set light level at given time but don't turn on

Question

Posted

Hi

Am trying to set a scene that covers a bunch of dimmer2's.

result should be:

Between 22:00 & 7:00

if state is off

set level to 1% but don't turn off (so IF you turn it on it will be dimmed as much as possible)

if lights are already on.. don't do anything.

I see that my understanding of LUA is in a very very small place because nothing works ... the scene doesn't trigger and when I run it manually it turns on all the lights in the scene..

Here's my LUA

Set value AFAIK increase lighting level immediately

try to use setBrightness  instead of set Value

And got the same result. It turns on the bulbs and sets them to 1%..

I of course meant "don't turn ON"

Any other thoughts on how to preset a value but not "use" it immediately?

Still haven’t found a way to pre-set brightness for night/early morning so if anyone has an idea I’d truly appreciate it.

    Are they Fibaro dimmers?
If yes, you could try to set parameter 19 of the dimmer by a scene (Forced dimming level when S1 clicked) to 1 (or higher) at the specific time and back to 0 to switch to previous level
