connecting sensor with open collector output

philipperoger

Question

Hi, I want to connect a PIR sensor as Input 1 of a Fibaro Smart Implant for integration into a z-wave network. Output 1 of the Smart Implant turns on outdoor lights.

The PIR sensor has an Open Collector Output and connects to the Smart Implant via three wires: VCC (12 V), GND, and Data. The Data Output is 5V when there is no movement and 0V when movement is detected.

How should I set Parameter 20 of the Smart Implant, amongst the six options (see manual, page 22).

Thanks!
