Calculating power from two or more devices

Question

Posted

I would like to sum up the power consumption from several devices and write this new value to a global variable. I am sure this is easy, but can not figure out how to. Perhaps with a small Lua script (?) I have searched in the forums, but can not find an easy solution. Any help is appreciated :-)

My need is slightly different:

Is it possible to get the TOTAL power consumption (from all devices), to be used in a LUA scene? The total power is displayed both in the smartphone app and in the PC user interface, but I see no variable which gives me access to this number in a scene? Do I have to loop through the list of device numbers and add the individual power values (as shown above for two devices)? That should not be necessary, since the HC2 has done the math already.
