Flood sensor + Probe cannot choose NC / NA contact

MarcoSmartForYou

Question

Hi everyone!

i have installed mine flood sensor + an external power +12v and a RiscoGroup Flood detector probe, one of the best in the market!

everithing works fine untill i connect the probe..

every probe i know work in NC (normally closed) in normal state and open after fiew seconds under water.

so.. as you connect it, fibaro beghin to send false flood alert.

but if you put probe under water it tourn in normal condition. ??

i see that there are no parameter to switch NO to NC and viceversa. can someone tell me how to do this?? this is common thing, i cant believe there is not the possibility to do it.. i must do something wrong! or fibaro has a lot to work in the alarm system part!

nothing is written in fibaro flood sensor instructions..

thank you very much

@MarcoSmartForYou

I just came across your question and the answer may help others in the future.
The answer is simple. Risco manufactures sensors for security alarm systems. Its probe is an active detector and behaves correctly with respect to the connection to the security system, i.e. switched on at rest.
As for Fibaro, it assumes passive probes are connected (wire only), i.e. disconnected.
