Fibaro Smart Implant with analog input

Puneet

Question

Hi

I have connected a Smart Implant with analog input and set parameter 20 to 4/5, parameter 63 to 1.

Also set the association 1 to Endpoint 3 to get output.

But the sensor gives output roughly after 30 seconds of giving input which is not the case when we connect a binary input. Is there any delay configured for analog input in sensor? Can this delay be reduced?

Did you include the SI after the connection of the analog input?

According to the manual you have to connect first the analog input, power up  the device, and at last include it to the system.

Also for removing the analog input. First exclude, remove the analog input, then include again.

    Hi

    As per your suggestion, I connected first the analog input, then powered up the device and at last included it to the system.

    Still no change, the SI gives output roughly after 30 seconds.

    Did you have a look @ parameter 64,67 & 68??

    Hi

    I have not set any value for parameter 64. This means it should have its default value 0 (periodical reports disabled) as per user manual.

    Parameter 67 & 68 are relevant only for connected DS18B20 or DHT22 sensors. I am not connecting anyone of these sensors.

    Hi @Puneet,

    I realy don't know why it takes 30 sec. before the first reading.

    Could be initializing something.

    If you set parameter 64 on 5 sec. does it still take 30 sec for first reading?

    Does the the analog sensor work for the rest?

    I have made following settings

     "configurations":
            {
                    "20": {"value": 5},
                    "21": {"value": 1},
                   "63": {"value": 1},
                   "64": {"value": 0}

            }

    I have explicitly set parameter 64 to 0, but no luck still getting the change after 30 second only.

    Below is the output. Difference between two outputs is 30 second.

    sensor_multilevel.3/report {"type": "voltage", "scale": "V", "value": 2.4}
    voltage.3 {"type": "voltage", "scale": "V", "value": 2.4, "timestamp": 1607504232.278}
    voltage.3 {"scale":"V","timestamp":1607504232,"type":"voltage","value":2.4}

    sensor_multilevel.3/report {"type": "voltage", "scale": "V", "value": 10.31}
    voltage.3 {"type": "voltage", "scale": "V", "value": 10.31, "timestamp": 1607504262.228}
    voltage.3 {"scale":"V","timestamp":1607504262,"type":"voltage","value":10.31}

    Looks something as polling the device.

    Do you have the possibilty to set associations.

    1st association group – “Lifeline” reports the device status and allows for assigning single device only (main controller by default).

    This should send the controller directly changes of you're sensor.

    Yes I have set associations also.

    Below is complete configuration that I have set.

    {
            "associations":
            {
                    "1": [{"node_id":1,"endp":2}],"2": [1],"3": [1]
            },
            "configurations":
            {
                    "20": {"value": 5},
                    "21": {"value": 1},
            "63": {"value": 1},
            "64": {"value": 0}

            }

    }

    mmm this goes out of my understanding, because there is no reason why the 30 seconds waiting time should be there.

    I seem to have the same issue, any luck in solving this?

    Never mind, the answer was already on the forum. The lowest interval of transmitting Z-wave sensor values is 30s to avoid a high load on the Z-wave network.

    I've changed my analog value to a digital value using an optocoupler and now I'm able to use the digital input mode which does react super fast.
