Wall switch day/night modes

Turning on the wall switch should result in different strong light depending on time (morning/day/evening/night.)

 

I want to use to original lamp switches in the house. Should work as ”regular lamps” for non-tech visitors. 

 

I also want to setup special Light-schemas for executing only in the app, like ”Clean the house” = turn on all switches and set lights to full power.

 

I have ceiling fixtures with GU10. Today with IKEA Trådfri dimmable bulbs connected to my Philips Hue 2 gateway and added to my HC2 like virtual devices. 

 

Is this possible?

What do i need? 

Is Fibaro Dimmer 2 the right product?

Yes this is all possible with a fibaro system. You'll need a dimmer 2 for each light, plus a fibaro bypass for where the load is under 50W. Of course you will also need a fibaro home centre to control everything.

 

Hopefully you are handy enough to install the devices and do the necessary programming. You can achieve what you want to do with block scenes rather than LUA code.

Looks promising. Just install the “dimmer 2” according to the manual and start with the blocks in my HC2. Might ask for more help there later 

 

Installing the devices I think I need to get a professional to do (I’m not good at it and here in Sweden we have some kind of law against doing permanent electric installations by yourself)

Dimmer 2 is not suitable for HUE!

I didt get it clear but he should use Fibaro relais.

In that way:

-switch will work >>>goes to 100% and if on you can use HC* to lower the Lux

-HC* can do the job in the amount of Lux you want

Hi. Thanks for your reply. Not sure what you mean though? ?

I don’t have any HUE-lights. I have dimmable IKEA-lights connected to the HC2 as virtual devices through a HUE hub. I wish for a HC3 and skip the Hue part.

Do I understand you right that I should skip Dimmer 2 and use the Fibaro mono and Double Switches instead? 

feels like I need HC3 and my zigbee-lights connected directly to that. Hue feels like a problem?

The best for HUE is to keep the mesh running. Each time use switch the power off, your HUE lights will be unreachable and after switching on, they will try to rebuild the mesh first.

Hi,

Mainly in my house I do not use "old" wall switch, for emergency I place a wall switch HUE or Tradfi.

All lights are on by door sensor, pir or a combination.

In the kitchen (two lights present) one is switched on/off wall switch and if on HC* can only switch off the other fully HC*.

Bedroom had Fibaro relays full operation:  switch and HC* is now also pir in combination with door sensor.

If you plan to use colour changing bulbs via zigbee, then yes, best to keep the HUE and don't use Dimmer 2s.

 

If you plan to use standard white dimmable bulbs without wireless control (which was my assumption, sorry if I was wrong about that), you can use the Dimmer 2s, and remove the HUE.
